About

The NYS Traffic Incident Management (TIM) Program is a statewide initiative dedicated to improving roadway safety, reducing incident response times, and enhancing coordination among first responders. Traffic incidents, including crashes, disabled vehicles and roadway hazards, pose serious risks to motorists and responders alike. Our program brings together law enforcement, fire departments, emergency medical services, towing and recovery professionals, and DOT to implement best practices for managing and clearing incidents efficiently and safely.
